Houston, Texas Dec 5, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - For many, the dream of home ownership is fulfilled with compromise and making do.
But Houston-based Brights Build wants to help more area residents achieve that dream by doing more than building a home with a few select options. They want to create personalized homes that fit every desire of the purchaser.
“By using 3D printing technology to build homes, we are not limited to the standard shapes and forms used in traditional building methods,” said Omar Shalham, Brights Build project executive. “When we untether from those outdated construction methods, we can create homes that fully reflect the owner's lifestyle.”
With this latest method of building, home shapes and designs are no longer a function of available materials but instead the owner’s personality, he said.
“For those that choose a 3D printed home, the sky is the limit for design,” Shalham said. “A smart device can print 3D objects using a simple app, which has many built-in options for users. Using this method gives the owner choices as to every aspect of design. It gives them choices, not just options, personalization, not just customization, and a changeable layout with more than a few floor plans to pick from.”
For a generation that sees a home as more than just a domicile but also an office, gym, and more, having the ability to construct a residence that can quickly adapt to the growing list of needs is necessary for the future.
“Many of our competitors locally and across the region are hesitant to adopt 3D home construction,” Shalham said. “But we see the potential and a wave of demand in the near future for what 3D home printing can bring to a city. That’s partly the reasoning behind our new project which probably will be the world’s largest 3D-printed home community when finished. We are proud to bring much-needed homes to the Houston market. Once completed, this project will show everyone the possibilities afforded to us by ditching dated construction methods and adopting new ways of creating what our customers desire when they build a home.”
He said for many, 3D, printed home construction has been more than a way to create a specialty home, it is a way to suggest a more personal view of the world.
“Every owner will have a reason why 3D printed construction was a better fit for their home,” Shalham said. “But for many, it reflects a desire to be better stewards of our natural resources, as building in this new manner is far more ecologically sound.”
The company can reduce waste by using precision construction techniques by incorporating 3D printing that eliminates the waste generated using wood and metal.
“If you look at the 3D printing robots, you see almost everything we needed to complete construction,” Shalham said. “We know exactly how much product is needed for every construction, and so 3D printer construction has quickly become a favorite of many younger homeowners as they actively seek out goods and services that show their personalities and reflect their desire to live a life with purpose.”
