Mumbai, Maharashtra Jan 14, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - 3M India, in collaboration with Scholarlify, has announced the launch of the 3M – Scotch-Brite® Scholarship for Girls 2025–26, an education-focused initiative aimed at reducing school dropout rates among financially vulnerable girl students studying in Classes 9 to 12.
The scholarship has been designed to support deserving girl students during their critical secondary and higher secondary education years by offering financial assistance along with mentorship, career exposure, and parent engagement. The initiative seeks to empower students to continue their education and build a strong foundation for future STEM and career opportunities.
Program Objective
The program addresses financial barriers that often disrupt girls’ education during adolescence. By combining monetary support with guidance and exposure, the scholarship aims to ensure continuity in schooling and long-term academic success.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Girl students currently studying in Classes 9 to 12 (female students in Classes 10 and 12 are also eligible).

Minimum 70 percent marks secured in the previous academic year.

Students must be residing and studying in Maharashtra, Gujarat, or Karnataka.

Annual family income from all sources should not exceed ₹5 lakh.
Preference will be given to:

First-generation learners

Students with a single parent or orphans
-
Students with disabilities (PwD)
-
Students from families facing crisis situations
Scholarship Benefits

Classes 9–10: ₹20,000 for one year to support school fees, coaching, transportation, and digital learning aids.

Classes 11–12: ₹30,000 for one year to support tuition fees, exam fees, hostel or living expenses, and digital access.
Utilization of Scholarship Funds
The scholarship amount must be used exclusively for academic purposes such as admission fees, tuition fees, exam fees, and books. Any remaining funds may be used for stationery, online learning tools, internet or data packs, and study devices.
Additional Non-Monetary Support
Selected scholars will also receive:

Monthly group mentorship sessions for three months

Career counselling and STEM exposure sessions

Recognition and felicitation at 3M offices
