According to the survey on whether they know Marvel Comics or DC Comics, the majority of respondents answered “I don’t know either” (67%).
The following were "I know Marvel Comics but not DC Comics" at 15%, "I know both" at 14%, and "I know DC Comics but not Marvel Comics" at 4%.
The survey found that 70% of all respondents were not familiar with either of the American comic magazines.
Interestingly, looking at the result by gender, it indicated that 72% of teenage girls were not familiar with either Marvel or DC Comics while for the teenage boys, it was 62%.
Looking at the result by gender, it indicated that 22% of teenage boys had known both Marvel Comics and DC Comics while for teenage girls, it was only 6%.
The survey found that 20% of teenage boys were familiar with both Marvel and DC comics, which was 3.5 times more than girls.
