Bremerton, Washington May 17, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - The Bremerton Chamber proudly presents The Kitsap Credit Union, Armed Forces Day Parade. Saturday, May 21 marks the 75th year of the event held annually on the third Saturday of May in downtown Bremerton. The Parade is the largest and longest-running Armed Forces Day Parade in the Nation.
Parade Grand Marshal, Vice Admiral Johnny R. Wolfe, Jr., Director of Navy Strategic Systems Programs. Wolfe’s awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with gold star, Joint Services Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal with gold star, Navy Achievement Medal with three gold stars, Air Force Achievement Medal and various other service awards.
The Parade begins at 10:00 am. The route starts at 6th Street and Warren Ave and ends at Ninth Street and Pacific Ave.
The Bremerton Central Lions Club will host their annual AFF Pancake Breakfast, and the festivities will conclude with the Heroes BBQ, hosted by the East Bremerton Rotary Club and sponsored by St. Michael Medical Center.
