Lawrenceville, Georgia Apr 24, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - On Saturday, April 1, 2023, Help for Healthcare Professionals (HHCP) hosted its Inaugural signature event commemorating its 3-year anniversary and commitment to supporting the healthcare workforce. More than 300 attendees participated in HHCP’s Night of Glam & Gratitude Charity Awards Gala, held at the Atlanta Marriott Northeast/Emory. This was Atlanta’s first Healthcare Oscars- styled event, presented in partnership with ATL Plus Magazine. This was a night to raise funds to provide scholarships for the education and skills training of aspiring healthcare workers in efforts to mitigate the ongoing healthcare workforce shortage. We gathered to honor and celebrate the significant achievements of healthcare workers - nurses, doctors, executives, mental health, ancillary support professionals, rehab providers, social workers, community health workers, and first responders, who have made an impact on our lives and our community.
The evening began with Pre-Gala VIP festivities and was followed by a cocktail hour for all attendees. While the saxophonist played, guests mingled and interacted with our nominees. The ballroom opened, and attendees were ushered in to witness the Mary Jane Seacole Awards Ceremony and partake in a 3- course dinner. The night was nothing short of glamorous, with attendees elegantly dressed in their finest attire while enjoying delicious food, drinks, and music and celebrating those who serve us every day. Special gift bags were distributed to VIP guests and included luxury spa products from sponsors that included Cleansing Waters Spa, Level 2 Skin, and Weekend Fetish Cosmetics as well as gift certificates from LiviRae Lingerie, Posh Salons, local restaurants, Starbucks, and more. At the event, 24 awards were presented to healthcare professionals and first responders who continue to make a difference. Belinda Sanders, Serial Entrepreneur, Author of The Book, and Creator of the Podcast Dear Future Husband, presented an Honorary Award to Bravo for highlighting minorities in healthcare. Molly Hopkins, Reality TV star, and CEO of LiviRae Lingerie, where they bra fit for bust health with the motto of Let Me Lift You Up, was on hand to present The Women’s Health Provider of the Year Award to Dr. Jackie Walters. Hopkins said, “It is an honor to be here tonight recognizing these heroes who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to service. I am proud to be part of this celebration honoring them for all they do for us!”

About HHCP
Help for Healthcare Professionals, HHCP, is a nonprofit organization based in Georgia. HHCP was founded to provide support and services to the members of our community who have devoted their lives to keeping us safe and healthy. Nurses, doctors, paramedics, respiratory therapists, social workers, community health workers, and pharmacists; are only a few of the brave and heroic people making a difference in our lives and our community. In addition, HHCP is also committed to showing support and appreciation to the immediate families of the first responders that bravely serve our community. While we stayed safe within our homes and away from the pandemic, these healthcare workers sacrificed their lives daily to face the dangers of the infection head-on.
HHCP aims to reach healthcare professional communities across Metro Atlanta to mitigate healthcare worker burnout, strengthen public investments and health in the workforce, increase access to mental health care for health workers, and address healthcare professionals' overall well-being by valuing and protecting this special community. Each year we provide targeted programs and services in fulfillment of our three core pillars- mental health awareness, education, and crisis relief. As we expand our Crossroads Education and Skills Training program, we ensure sustainability in the healthcare workforce. We do this by removing barriers that impede both aspiring and existing members of the healthcare ecosystems’ ability to obtain comprehensive training. Long-term, this creates healthier communities with better access to healthcare.
