Curated and hosted by Juliette Jeffers, this live streaming program will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at 7 PM PST / 10 PM EST. www.whitefiretheatre.com.

These eclectic creative artists will utilize poetry and music as a tool to bear witness to the current state of affairs in the USA and abroad.
Reese, who is now streaming on Amazon Prime in the television sitcom, Beauty and the Baller as the feisty chef, Jalil Baldwin states, " When I received the invitation for this online festival, I immediately started looking back into my archival files. I ran across some programs from my former teacher/coach, Tony Award winner, Virginia Capers. As a part of Ms Caper's company, Lafayette Players West in the early 1990s, we use to read and explore the words of writers like Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou, James Baldwin, James Weldon Johnson and Paul Lawrence Dunbar to see if their words would hold up as it relates to what is going on in today's society. They held up then and they definitely speak to what is happening right now in these challenging times in 2020."
Reese, a sought-after James Baldwin specialist and cultural architect for public engagement has chosen the theme of "Freedom/Feeling Free" for his featured ten-minute set which will include some old school poetry, prose, movement, and history telling chants mixed with his signature performance style of "EDU-TAIN-MENT" that is simply known in the global arts community as The Charles Reese Experience.
