Actor Jeremy Connors Impresses Audiences With More Than Good Looks

From pianist-to-stuntman; model-actor Jeremy Connors is one of the more adventurous and versatile young men in Hollywood.

Los Angeles, California Oct 19, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - Many actors begin their careers in their youth, performing in school plays and local theater. Jeremy Connors got his start in a similar fashion, albeit behind a piano performing recitals at Liberty Concert Hall while participating in televangelist programs by Thomas Road Live.

Jeremy’s journey into entertainment continued as he provided conflict-characters for reality based television by mixing his own story with producers’ needs to tell theirs. Then, he traded in his piano for a wrench, and moved behind the scenes to work as a mechanic maintaining hero vehicles for use in indie shoots.

Always the adventurer, it did not take long for Connors to transition to the front lines of stunt work; riding motorcycles for ads, taking falls in fight scenes, and climbing rope in shows like Prison Break. His road to expertise as a stunt driver certainly had its moments, however, mainly in the form of over 40 traffic violations before receiving proper training on the track. The legal fees for his bootleg “training”  shenanigans almost wiped out his earnings as a professional driver!

Once in front of the camera, it did not take long for the industry to discover Jeremy had a valuable asset in his looks. He was offered modeling and appearance gigs in productions by Apple Computers, 20th Century Fox, NASA, Husky Tools, and Home Depot. He also appeared on Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network, and was featured in full vampire makeup for director Guillermo del Toro on the FX Network hit The Strain. For the actor, whose work earned him membership in the Academy of Television in 2019, it was a career high.

“While in the studio, I was nervous to get close to the eccentric Guillermo del Toro,” said Jeremy. “But ultimately, I used my imagination and physical flexibility. So after meditating through a half day in the makeup-effects chair, I went to work expressing my interpretation of what The Strain vampires do. It was a privilege to be featured in the early billboards for the second season adverts.”

Ever the spirited explorer, and seeking new life experiences to use for his craft, Connors moved to Asia to live as a local in one of the poorest regions of the continent. His incredible journey was chronicled on Lee Harts’s Secretly Timid podcast. Since then, he has returned to his home in Los Angeles and is back to work.

“I proved to myself that I could pay my bills as an adman in LA, lived through more stunt work than I was likely qualified for, and can survive almost anywhere,“ said Connors. “I think it might be time to get back to producing within the art film world.”

Fans will want to be on the lookout for Jeremy Connors in a new directorial short by writer/director Daniel Yost (Drugstore Cowboy) called Hope and Fear starring Kelsey Bohlen and Beatriz Mendonça. The actor has also taken the lead role as pilot Charles Lindbergh in the docuseries The Men Who Made The Airlines premiering soon.
