McKinney, Texas Apr 15, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - THE HANGER FOUNDATION AWARDS GRANT TO U.S. AMPUTEE FOOTBALL FEDERATION (USAFF)
The U.S. Amputee Football Federation (USAFF) is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $4,100 grant from the Hanger Foundation in support of its adaptive soccer programming for individuals with limb differences.
The grant will help fund USAFF’s Beyond Limits Camps, which provides amputee athletes with opportunities to develop technical soccer skills, build confidence, and form lasting community connections through sport. These camps play a critical role in expanding access to adaptive athletics while promoting physical well-being, inclusion, and empowerment.
“This continued support from the Hanger Foundation is both an honor and a strong vote of confidence in our mission,” said Joan Bolanos Martinez, Treasurer of USAFF. “Their investment directly impacts our ability to create meaningful, accessible opportunities for amputee athletes and to grow a sustainable, inclusive soccer community nationwide.”
The Hanger Foundation’s mission is to empower people with physical challenges to live life as fully as possible. Since its founding, the Foundation has contributed millions of dollars to nonprofit organizations that advance mobility, independence, and quality of life for individuals with limb loss and limb difference.
USAFF previously received funding from the Hanger Foundation in 2024, which helped support camps across multiple regions, resulting in high participant satisfaction and measurable gains in confidence, skills, and community engagement. The 2025 grant builds on that momentum, enabling USAFF to continue scaling its impact while maintaining a highly cost-effective, athlete-centered model. The U.S. Amputee Football Federation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting inclusivity, physical activity, and empowerment through amputee soccer. Founded in 2023, USAFF works to ensure that individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and genders with limb differences have access to the transformative power of sport.
