Los Angeles, California Apr 21, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Alexandra Vino, star of stage and screen, will join other first- and second-time directors making their exciting debuts at the 6th Annual Paris Independent Film Festival between April 22 and April 28, 2022. Since its conception in 2015, this event has been held at the Reflet Médicis theater in Paris and has showcased some of the most innovative works in independent cinema. Films of all genres are selected and awarded prizes by an international jury. This year's festival will include more than 60 independent films from across the globe.
Alexandra writes, directs, and stars in Green Kola, a mockumentary comedy, along with Eugenia Kuzmina and Katherine Wallach. The short film examines the underbelly of Hollywood's opportunistic characters through the eyes of a Hollywood starlet. Taking place in New York City, the story follows Antoine Verglas, a renowned French photographer who has been selected to shoot the year's most anticipated fashion campaign, featuring America's Sweetheart, Nina Finch. Along the way, the faux exterior of her seemingly perfect lifestyle appears to reveal something much less pleasant.
Alexandra Vino is no stranger to the screen, big or small. Ever since she was a teenager, she has been a successful commercial actress in Manhattan, landing more than twenty ads. Badmaa$h Company director Parmeet Sethi hired Alexandra as Linda, the lead role, to dance with Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, and her professional acting career took off from there. She also proudly studied for ten years at New York City’s famed Actor’s Studio and is a lifelong member.
Alexandra played organized crime victim Gloria Wisnewski alongside Mark Wahlberg in Peter Berg’s Spenser Confidential. In addition, she co-starred with Joanne Whalley, Jim Caviezel, and Olivier Martinez in Paul, the Apostle of Christ, directed by Andrew Hyatt.
Following her portrayal as Gina Gershon's secretary, Lindsay, on HBO's How to Make it in America, Alexandra Vino appeared in recurring parts on CBS's Golden Boy and Marvel's Agent Carter.
In addition to being an outstanding actress, Alexandra Vino is also a philanthropist. Many of her art pieces have been auctioned off in support of Stop Poaching Now, a charity close to her heart.
