Amazon reported its total earnings for the quarter on Thursday after the market closed and it reported $1.43 earnings per share along with a humongous amount of $158.9 billion in revenue. Amazon Web Services is currently gaining high operating margins at all-time. The investors have been bracing up for disappointment as the company has poured billions of dollars into their satellite project Kuiper. However, it simply did not happen and the company has proved everyone wrong. Bezos had a different strategy as he stepped down as CEO in order to become the executive chairman of the company in 2021 which currently owns 10% of it.
Jeff Bezos also owns the popular newspaper The Washington Post along with Blue Origin which is currently the biggest competitor to Elon Musk’s SpaceX. This aerospace company is currently making rockets that can take people to space other than just astronauts. Currently, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are the only billionaires who belong to the top mark. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s estimated net worth has significantly dipped below $200 billion. With more technological investments, the social media giant is looking forward to a big rise in the coming days.
