When discouragement comes, you must find balance and common grounds for it. You must speak to your circumstance and believe that you are a conqueror and defeat your obstacles. This is what I learned to do in my life, to have mind over matter. You must get your mind and spirit to connect. There is someone out there may be struggling with this same story. Pastor Shirley Mae Lucas Cain, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, later relocated to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she grew up. She found Christ at the age of nine at Church of God in Christ while visiting relatives in Houston, Texas for the summer. I am a graduate from M.C. Williams Jr.- Sr. in Houston, Texas. Pastor Cain is a single Mother of three sons, six grandchildren and two grea-grand’s. Pastor Cain was licensed and ordained as Pastor on June 2014. She walks in the office of a Prophet. She is also the founder of “Helping the Homeless to Jesus.” She is currently a member of Destiny Church of Missouri City, Texas under the Leadership of Pastor Scott Nichols, and Lawanda Nichols.
