American Multi-media talent receives African Award Endorsed by British Prime Minister Theresa May

Princess Dame Angelique Monet received the Gathering of Africa’s Best Awards (GAB) Award for Excellence in the "Arts" in London, UK

London, United Kingdom Feb 24, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - Kensington, London Multi-media American talent, humanitarian and Socialite Princess Dame Angelique Monet received the Gathering of Africa’s Best Awards (GAB)  Award for Excellence. The award recognized Monet “For an outstanding contribution of positive images of Africa and Africans around the world through “The Arts.” The 20th year annual ceremony had warm wishes from United Kingdom Prime Minister Rt. Hon Theresa May and Leader of the Conservative Party.

Throughout the years Monet has made a name for herself as a talent while also promoting other Pan African and African talents. This includes the production of the film, hosting festivals to promote, exhibit and provide platforms for filmmakers, artisan artist, fine artist, fashion designers, and performers globally.

I am working hard as a Pan African descent and lineage to change the images and stereotypes of Africa and regions where Pan Africans reside. Others in attendance included The High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the United Kingdom – His Excellency Ambassador George Adesola Oguntade who commended the diligence shown by Trumpet Media Group, organisers of the event. He also praised the fact the event celebrated twenty years of excellence and congratulated the award recipients. Hon. Alderman Erelu Lola Ayonrinde former Mayor, London Borough of Wandsworth was in attendance, and also took the time to congratulate Monet. 

Pan African royals were also VIP guests which included Broadcast and Media Personality Her Royal Highness Princess Moradeun Adedoyin Solarin, the Granddaughter of HRM Oba William Christopher Adedoyin 11 The Akarigbo of Sagamu, Remo-land Nigeria and Her Royal Highness Princess Toyin Audrey Onagoruma, marketing executive and management consultant and the granddaughter of HRM Oba Olusegun Adedeji Onagoruwa, Elemi 1. The two Pan African Royals also performed a special short ceremony to welcome Monet in their royal circle and to embrace her African heritage. The ceremony now acknowledges Monet as a Pan-African Royal through draping with royal draping passed down through ancestors. The ocean blue turquoise shape embellished in pearls in Yoruba tradition is a piece of silk ‘Aso-Oke’ fabric and can be used as both a shawl and also to secure a child on its Mother’s back. When draped around the shoulders, the fabric is adorned as part of the Yoruba Woman’s Fashion Statement, it can also provide warmth and shield the wearer from the elements. When a Mother uses fabric to secure a baby on her back it provides security, warmth, and protection for the baby, in addition to rest of mind for the Mother, as she knows her child is safely strapped to her back,” stated Her Royal Highness Princess Moradeun Adedoyin Solarin, Pan African Royalty and Global Media Personality.

ABOUT PRINCESS DAME ANGELIQUE MONET
Angelique Monét is an American multi-media talent and former Ms Black South Carolina USA. Monét attended St. Augustine's University, graduating with a degree in mass communications. Monét is the owner and CEO of Greta Joanne Entertainment.  Angelique Monét is also the world's only stage actress and ventriloquist. In  2001, Angelique Monét performed on Theater Row her one-woman Off-Broadway show Multiple Me written by Edgar Chisholm, where she portrayed several personalities and her ventriloquist figure had multiple personalities in addition to those Monét portrayed. She is listed under 'A History of Modern Day Ventriloquism,' cited for her one-woman play and changing modern day ventriloquism, Notable Ventriloquist, and listed under Wikipedia as being a beauty pageant winner. 
Monét has a five-octave vocal range, multiple ventriloquist figures and voices, has opened for comedian  Sinbad,  Grammy winner  Brian McKnight, and has had a private meet and greets with the creators of Sesame Street, Mallory Lewis the daughter of the late Sherri Lewis (Lamb Chop)), legendary comedian and activist Paul Mooney. She has been written about in history books tracing the history of ventriloquism. 

As a singer, she specializes in Jazz, R&B, Classical, Pop, Electronica, New Age, World Music, Indigenous storytelling / Negro Spirituals. and has an album on iTunes entitled “Not Wasting Time.” She is a member of ASCAP and has her own music publishing. She has performed with Indian classical musician and dancer, a recipient of the Chevalier Award, Dr Raghunath Manét, Off-Broadway NYC (Theatre Row), United Nations Headquarter NYC, Grand Lodge of  Free And Accepted Masons State of New York, Luxembourg Parliament, United Kingdom House of Parliament.  

Monét is also a public speaker who has spoken at the African Union Headquarters in New York City, the United Nations, Schools, Universities, and churches. She has appeared on panels with diplomats, celebrities, politicians, and humanitarians.  Her dialogue specializes in world peace relations, indigenous preservation of culture, self-esteem, women's empowerment, and her youth  being diagnosed with a learning disability  in which she did not speak stating “music opened her mind and the ancient art of ventriloquism gave her a voice.” She also is an advocate for disabilities, depression and artists who suffer from trauma and utilize the arts for healing. 

TELEVISION, FILM 

Monét began as a journalist and nighttime Associate Producer for NBC in Greenville Spartanburg (having been an intern through the Greenville Urban League), ABC (segment hostess) for Black History Month specials,  Segment Producer/ Reporter for Children’s Show Videomax syndicated regionally through NBC, Writer/Producer/ Director for the children's show 'Gracie and Angel' which aired on Dove Communications, where she was the first minority ventriloquist with her own children's television program (top 40 markets in the USA). Upon graduating and moving to New York, she began producing, writing and acting in her own productions through her company Greta Joanne Entertainment. She has assisted many independent filmmakers in garnishing distribution worldwide, Greta Joanne Entertainment, is a production company accredited sales agent, event production company, Public Relations and Marketing Specialist, and is in pre-production stages to over 30 projects in various genres. Monet has assisted films starring critically acclaimed and activist Danny Glover, Image and Screen Actors Award Winner Isaiah Washington, Oscar Nominee Graham Greene, Golden Globe Nominee Eric Roberts, Academy Award Winner Jeff Bridges, and the late Peter O’Toole. 

She has produced written and starred alongside Hollywood legends Angel Salazar (Scarface, Carlitos Way), Golden Globe Nominee Steven Bauer (Scarface, AMC’s Breaking Bad), and Latin mambo sensation Tito Puente Jr. 
Monét is also the founder of Nothing On Television TV a Video On Demand digital platform which provides magazine, red carpet and independent film content. Humanitarian 

Seeing the need to assist minorities in global distribution, and exposure, she formulated the Hamptons Black International Film Festival which later became Artisan Festival International World Peace Initiative, a global movement to utilize all components of the arts to help in World Peace Relations. The organization is now umbrellaed with 'New Generation In Action' a United Nations approved NGO with Consultative Status. AFI World Peace Initiative is the main agendas. The organization aides in humanitarian efforts in the promotion of the film, fine art, fashion, music, in addition to youth and women empowerment as youth empowerment campaigns. The group hosts  innovative events while also producing media content ranging from films to publications that can impact society and aide in world peace relations “through the arts.” 
She also serves on the board for other organizations and participates in charitable committees for youth advocacy and education, endangered species, animals and wildlife, conservation and women’s rights.
