“I really do like taking care of patients, and I really like being their advocate,” says Nina. “If I see a patient that’s struggling, I like to help them out and make sure they know I’m there for them. When I set patients up to have procedures, I also make sure I’m there the day of the procedure so they have a familiar face. Then I follow up with them when they go home and give them a call to check on them. Patients have told me they really like the continuity of care and having someone that they can reach out to. If I had to sum it up, I would say patient advocacy, and I love educating the patients.”
Originally from Florida, Nina moved to Montana in 1994 and found her inspiration to pursue nursing through her mother, who worked as a nurse’s aide. That early example of compassionate caregiving ignited a lifelong commitment to serving others and helping patients navigate challenging health situations.
Nina’s educational journey reflects her dedication to professional growth and excellence in nursing. She earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Montana State University–College of Technology in 2006, an Associate Degree in Nursing from Excelsior College in 2012, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University in 2020.
Throughout her distinguished career, Nina has developed extensive expertise in cardiac navigation, nephrology, and dialysis nursing. Before transitioning into cardiac care, she spent more than 16 years working in nephrology and dialysis, including nearly a decade as a travel dialysis nurse. Those experiences allowed her to care for diverse patient populations and sharpen the adaptability, clinical precision, and patient-centered approach that have become hallmarks of her professional reputation.
Nina’s dedication to caring for others extends beyond her own career and into her family. She has inspired her daughter to follow in her footsteps, and her daughter graduated in May 2026 with an Associate Degree in Nursing.
