Washington, D.C, District of Columbia May 5, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Timira Taylor, MMS, PA-C, is a dedicated Physician Assistant committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered primary care to individuals and families throughout the Washington, D.C. area. Currently practicing at AllCare Primary & Immediate Care, now operating as Close Net following a merger with other practices, Timira provides comprehensive healthcare services while fostering an environment where patients feel safe, supported, and truly heard.
In her role, Timira manages a wide range of healthcare needs, including sick visits, cold and flu symptoms, annual physicals, chronic disease management, preventive screenings, and well-woman exams. She is known for developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique medical history, lifestyle, and personal health goals. Her approach prioritizes open communication, trust, and collaboration, helping patients feel empowered throughout their healthcare journey.
Timira earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University in 2023 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology (Pre-Health) at Tuskegee University in 2020. During her graduate studies, she served as Diversity Chair, where she advocated for diversity, equity, and inclusion within her program while helping create a more supportive and welcoming learning environment for students and faculty alike.
Healthcare has been a meaningful part of Timira’s life from an early age. Inspired by her mother, a registered nurse, she was introduced to patient care and the importance of compassion in medicine as a child. At just 16 years old, after learning about the Physician Assistant profession, she realized it was the ideal career path—allowing her to practice medicine collaboratively while maintaining the balance and personal connection she valued.
“What I enjoy most is seeing people get better,” Timira shared. “You see one thing, and then you develop a treatment plan specific for that person, and then you get to see that it worked. Just seeing people’s lives improve—it will never get old to me.”
For Timira, primary care is about far more than treating symptoms. She values the relationships she builds with patients and the opportunity to serve as a trusted first point of contact in their healthcare experience.
“I also love developing relationships with so many people and being their point person in primary care,” she explained. “You’re their go-to, the first one to see them before they get referred off to specialists. I genuinely think that it’s an honor to be in people’s lives, probably in some of the most vulnerable spaces.”
An active member of the American Association of Physician Associates, Timira remains committed to advancing the Physician Assistant profession and expanding access to equitable, high-quality healthcare. Looking ahead, she is especially interested in opportunities in teaching and public speaking, where she hopes to mentor and inspire future healthcare professionals while continuing to advocate for compassionate, patient-centered care.
Through her dedication, empathy, and commitment to excellence, Timira Taylor continues to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of the communities she serves.
