North-West Frontier, Pakistan Jul 5, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Legislative Assembly has introduced a new law under which a candidate does not need a degree to run in the general elections. Approved by the President of Azad Kashmir. According to the bill passed in the AJK Assembly, no degree is required to contest elections for the Assembly.
A young Kashmiri Political Rights Activist Atif Maqbool from Azad Kashmir called the law an enemy of Digital J&K, General elections are to be held in Pakistan-administered Kashmir in August 2021 this year.
Atif Maqbool also said The people of Kashmir have been facing oppression and tyranny for the last seventy-five years which is known all over the world. It would be like break a mountain on the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Political Power in Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir has been coming since 1947 with the approval of Islamabad. It is impossible for anyone to become a politician here without the clearance of agencies. Any nationalist political party of Jammu and Kashmir can not contest Election in Pakistan administrated Jammu & Kashmir also in India administrated Jammu and Kashmir.
Atif appealed to the International Organization for Democracy (IOD) to consider the matter while performing justice as it is against the principles of democracy.
