Continuing his academic journey, Lalaji earned his degree from Binghamton University in 1994, followed by medical school at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he graduated in 1998. His training included an internship at Chestnut Hill Hospital (University of Pennsylvania), a radiology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at Wake Forest University, which he completed in 2004.
