Scottsdale, Arizona Apr 28, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Governor Doug Ducey asked Arizonans to “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected.” In order to nourish the souls and the minds of our students currently sheltering-in-place, IMAj Institute is now offering Virtual Training.
IMAj Institute, Scottsdale’s premier school for Aestheticians, has begun offering virtual training for all students during the didactic portion of their training. Students can interact with Instructors and other students during live lectures or watch recorded lectures when it is most convenient for them.
“Arizona is focused on limiting the spread of COVID-19 while providing relief to families, individuals and businesses impacted,” said Governor Ducey.
Gary and Peggy Begley, owners of the IMAj Institute, had the option to keep the school open as an “essential service” but wanted to do their part to help keep all Arizonans safe during the COVID-19 crisis. They worked with the Arizona Board of Cosmetology to implement a new “virtual learning ruling” to allow students to train from the comfort of their own home.
After the new rules for learning gained approval at the Board’s last meeting, IMAj was the first Aesthetics school to go live with its new virtual instruction program. The Instructors are live, on-site, and keeping the dialog going between students, who can interact and ask questions at any time.
“At IMAj, 96% of our students pass the state board licensing exam their first time, and all our students will continue to receive the same quality education IMAj has always been known for,” promised Lead Aesthetics Instructor Augustina Snowden.
Students like Monique Zafarana say everyone is enjoying their training without the cost and time involved in daily commutes. The new program also allows students to complete their course quicker than with the traditional program.
Once the didactic portions are completed, all future time on campus will be hands-on, and students can choose clinic times for all programs, including laser technology training, that works best for their busy schedule, Monday through Saturday.
