Los Angeles, California Jan 27, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Longtime City of Los Angeles Engineer and Neighborhood Council Member Asaad Alnajjar renews this month his candidacy vows for Los Angeles City Council District 12 and will continue as a “Write In” Candidate in the upcoming March 3, 2020. Contrary to what incumbent Councilmember John S. Lee is announcing, March 3, 2020 is going to be a three (3) candidates’ race and the debates will reveal the facts.
A Civil Structural Professional Engineer who has worked for the city for over 30 years, Alnajjar is running for city council because City Hall needs a Councilmember with leadership skills & values that also has the practical experience and knowledge to tackle the most pressing issues confronting Council District 12 today, including homelessness, public safety, environmental sustainability and traffic congestion.
“No candidate in this race; even incumbent Councilmember John S. Lee; has the hands-on experience and proven track record that I do. I have been an Engineer at the City of Los Angeles for over 30 years building and delivering solutions. Now, with your support, I want to spend the next 4 years re-engineering CD 12 and the city as your next council member,” said Asaad Alnajjar.
“I have been at the forefront of some of the most innovative projects in the whole city. Oftentimes, the red tape and layers of bureaucracy along with confusion at city hall prevent good ideas from being implemented, especially in Council District 12, where I believe a strong leader who has the practical experience, versatile knowledge, an innovative approach and clear vision to turn things around is needed to make good ideas a reality today.”
Thus far, Councilmember’s Lee 100 days in office did not accomplish his own office results rather he reported Public Works achievements as his own numbers, nor addressed issues adequately; being it the homeless, safety and crime, budget, Shut down Aliso Canyon, schools, traffic and so forth rather Councilman Lee created confusion from the overinflated statements coming from CD 12 official office contrary to the facts to gain voters for his reelection.
Alnajjar Campaign collected less than 1,000 signatures but unfortunately many of these got disqualified for various reasons leaving the petition status to fall below the required 500 signatures to qualify to be on the ballot. Mr. Alnajjar only one option now which is to run as a “Write In” candidate in order to re-engineer CD 12.
The election for LA City Council is slated for Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
