Lahore, Punjab Dec 22, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Tulips are more challenging to cross-breed, and it can take several years before the plant bears flowers.
Asif Ali Gohar has been running the family garden shop in Lahore, Pakistan, for more than a decade. He has recently grown a new floribunda rose variety named Gohar. The Gohar rose has big leaves, is long-stemmed, and has a flowering period until late autumn. The gardener is now scaling the Gohar floribunda's production and is seeking distribution partners. Other than that, he just started to cross-breed tulips with the goal to create a new Fosteriana tulip variety.
Asif Ali Gohar said, "Tulips are harder to cross-breed, and several years for the plant to bear flowers are needed. I am excited about developing a new tulip variety. Tulips are a symbol of spring, and they are the most popular spring bulbs. Tulips are easy to grow and can have a variety of vibrant colors."
