Athens-Clarke, Georgia Mar 13, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Athens Hip Hop Awards (AHHA) places a positive spotlight on Athens hip-hop music scene, culture and urban professionals throughout North Georgia and surrounding areas. This red carpet, annual event includes live performances, a semi-formal award ceremony, networking, and more.
This is an opportunity for music artists and business professionals to gain recognition for their hard work, accomplishments and designed to encourage family and friends to stand in solidarity for the love of hip-hop culture.
Since 2012, organizers Knowa and Mokah Johnson have worked diligently to help rebuild Athens hip-hop music scene and AHHA have been a vital component in their efforts. Athens Hip Hop Awards was listed in the June 2018 Music Tourism Report by Georgia Dept. of Economic Development as the event most in line with stimulating growth and attracting millenniums for Athens Clarke County.
Saturday, March 23rd AHHA weekend begins with an Industry Mixer and Open Mic event 5 pm at Max Canada 243 W Washington St, Athens, GA 30601. Sunday, March 24, 2019, Athens Hip Hop Awards ceremony will be held at the Foundry Entertainment 295 E Dougherty St, Athens, GA 30601. Doors open at 6 pm.
