Nashville, Tennessee Sep 26, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - The Josie Music Awards Pre-Party Concert Event was held on Friday, September 17th with incredible musical performances and headliner T. Graham Brown who was presented with the JMA Lifetime Career Achievement Award before his performance. His award acceptance and his performance were both met with a standing ovation from the crowd of attendees. In addition to the pre-party on Friday, there was also a large group songwriting session and the first JMA All Ages Vocal Competition.
The JMA red carpet and award ceremony was held on Saturday, September 18th. Nominees, families, fans, and spectators flooded the red-carpet area for photos, media interviews, and live streaming action by James Craigmyle. Viewers around the globe tuned in to watch the red-carpet excitement. The award ceremony was filled with surprises, suspense, excitement, and heartfelt special moments. The feeling in the room was electric from the moment the opening music started until the final goodbye. A total of 84 categories were awarded in many genres with a blend of electric full energy and touching performances throughout the event in a full production theater show that was magnificent.
Josie Music Association owners, Josie Passantino-Boone and Tinamarie Passantino, dedicated this year’s award show to bringing awareness to mental health and suicide prevention. Providing helplines as well as helpful information from Dr. Greg Cason. The Josie Music Awards has dedicated themselves yearly to different organizations in an effort to support charities and needed causes.
Two big surprises announced at the event were the creation of the Bobby Ray Boone Music Foundation that will assist children in following their music dreams just as Matt Boone’s (Josie’s Husband) father did for him. Josie said, “As a young boy Matt’s father was a driving force behind Matt following his music dreams and through this foundation, the JMAs will do the same for other children.” Matt Boone was presented with a plaque to honor his late father through the foundation as well as a custom cowboy hat made to honor Matt’s father’s memory from the Dueling Banjo Hat Company. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd as a video of Matt’s late father played showing the love he had in his heart for Matt and Josie before revealing the foundation’s official logo.
Josie and Tinamarie were not finished with the surprises for the night! Excitement erupted when Tinamarie and Josie announced another brand The Josie Music Festival (JMA Fest) an all-genre music festival coming in 2022. Everyone in attendance had the first opportunity to add their name to the interested list. The vibrant official fest logo was also revealed on the large theatre screens earning applause from the audience.
Special moments that tugged at the audience’s heartstrings included sincere acceptance speeches, remembering JMA family members that were lost too soon, and the presentation of a bracelet to Tim Atwood to continue to honor the memory of a fallen soldier.
