Atul Raghav becomes the first taekwondo athlete to be formally named in Indian team for the Hero's Cup 2021

It will be the first time any taekwondo athlete from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh has represented India at the Hero's Cup. Previously, Atul Raghav marked the history by becoming the first taekwondo athlete to represent India in G-Ranked championships.

New Delhi, Delhi Mar 22, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  - Atul Raghav has become the first taekwondo athlete to be formally named to the Indian team for the Hero's cup 2021 which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. Atul Raghav is an Indian Taekwondo Player better known for his undepictable game-play and looks. He represented India and won the Bronze medal in G-2 Fujairah Dubai 2020. Atul Raghav marked the history as he is the only Taekwondo Athlete from Ghaziabad who participated and won the Bronze medal in G-Ranked championships.

His Journey: There was a time when Atul did not even have a uniform. He borrowed from his seniors for his first tournament. In his 8th grade, without telling his parents, he used to go to Mahamaya Stadium every day with 10 rupees in his pocket for bus fare with his friend to learn MMA. After watching some classes, Atul started trying to learn it himself. He watched videos of mixed martial arts and became interested in it. Since he did not get the proper training to a lack of academies, he practiced it himself. A self-made man, he practiced and completed a basic MMA course in 2017. Atul turned into a taekwondo athlete and achieved a lot in a short period of time.

Atul Raghav was born on 24 September 2004 in Bulandshahr (UP) to the Raghav family. In Ghaziabad. His father's name is Harish Kumar Raghav, who is a police officer in the Uttar Pradesh Police. Atul Raghav represented Uttar Pradesh and CISCE for 2 years. Apart from the profession, he is also an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter. Atul Raghav started his career as an MMA fighter in the field of defense. He did his primary education at St. Mary's Convent School Ghaziabad. And now currently studying at Ingraham Institute Ghaziabad.
