Another memorable moment came when he first played the demo for his friend Steve Maxwell, a former vocalist for the Christian group Acappella. "Steve's reaction startled me a bit. I thought he had heard it before, but that was not the case. He was slightly annoyed that I had waited so long to share it." The track features Avery’s passionate lead vocals, along with contributions from Maxwell and Ike Graul, another longtime friend and musical collaborator.
