Greenville, South Carolina Jul 7, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - The world of fashion has seen many changes in recent years. More models of differing ethnicities, sizes, and looks are gaining a presence on runways and in media. One model, Tracy Etheridge, is pushing the boundaries of diversity and many of her followers are excited to see her gain a more widespread platform. Etheridge, who lives in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, is a small-town girl who has many talents. In addition to being a model, she is a radio sensation with her show My A.I.R. [alopecia is real] with Tracy Etheridge, a BMW ambassador, and a Facebook phenom with her hilarious “Parkin’ Lot Pimping” segments.
Etheridge says, “I just love making people laugh and giving them something to look forward to in their day.” As one of her friends noted, “Tracy, you broke Facebook!” Etheridge maxed out the number of friends that she could have on Facebook and amassed a waiting list so long that new, potential friends were shut out.
Etheridge also enjoys fashion, which is a major reason she started modeling. She says, “I am not a typical model. I’m short, bald, and plus size, but I love looking good!” People who watch her “rip, slay, and demolish the runway,” as her signature saying goes, think the combination works for her. “Tracy is perfect just the way she is,” Stephanie Freeman, Etheridge’s media consultant, says. “I think that one of Tracy’s strongest traits is that she uses what other people would call negatives for a model, and she makes them a positive—she uses those traits to distinguish herself and to encourage people.”
Etheridge says that she loves showing people that beauty can come in so many different forms. “Beauty,” she says, “is really more about how you feel than how you look.” Etheridge’s personality is also infectious. Often, she hears people say that her personality is so upbeat and uplifting that they leave her presence just feeling better. As Freeman says, “When Tracy models, she comes fully alive. She brings beauty, and she also brings energy and fun. You leave her runway shows loving life more and feeling great.”
People who want to be uplifted, see some great fashion and see how Etheridge “rips the runway,” should plan to attend her show coming up on Saturday, July 10 in Greenville, South Carolina. The fashion show is rightly called “Rip, Slay, and Demolish the Runway.” Etheridge planned to have the show in 2020, but the pandemic shut it down. Undeterred, she planed something even bigger and better for 2021. This show has vendors, her beloved Runway Slayer Models (a modeling group she founded), Unique Plus Models, and creative, fresh fashions by some local and upcoming designers.
The show will be held on Saturday, July 10 at the Greenville Marriott, 1 Parkway East, Greenville, South Carolina. Doors open at 6 pm. Tickets are $20 at the door.
