New York City, New York Oct 2, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - More than 100 events, over 50,000 attendees, the most talented chefs in the world, wine and spirit producers, culinary personalities, industry professionals and partners: from the 10th to the 13th of October 2019, the Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF) returns to the Big Apple and the Consortium for the Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena will participate for the third time. Considered the largest wine and food festival in New York, every year the NYCWFF donates 100% of the net proceeds (today $12,500,000 have been raised) to benefit the Food Bank For New York City and the No Kid Hungry® campaign, to end childhood hunger in America.
A very important opportunity with a noble mission for Balsamic Vinegar of Modena to play its part in this 12th edition of the NYCWFF, as underlined by the Director of the Consortium, Federico Desimoni: “After the great success of the last two editions we are truly happy to participate for the third time at the NYCWFF. This is an incredible opportunity to be able to network with the most important and influential personalities of the food, beverages and restaurant industry as well as a large engaged audience. A unique event with a great cause, that we are honored to support, a perfect stage for us to promote the authentic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena”.
The Protection Consortium will be present at the debut event taking place at Pier 94, Friday, October 11 at the Beverage Media presents Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits of New York Trade Tasting hosted by Wine Spectator. On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 of October, the Consortium will participate at the Grand Tasting presented by ShopRite featuring Culinary Demonstrations presented by Capital One®.
Just before the Festival ends, on Sunday, October 13 Balsamic Vinegar of Modena will be one of the protagonists in the special event Italian Sunday Supper hosted by the cookbook author and queen of Italian food Giada De Laurentiis, with the creations of the chefs from New York’s top Italian restaurants. Top chefs Giulio Adriani of the restaurant the Local Pizzaiolo and Stefano Secchi of Rezdôra Restaurant, will use Balsamic Vinegar of Modena in their recipes during the event.
The campaign “Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original”, developed for the United States and co-financed by the European Union, aims to increase the consumer consciousness about the original PGI (Protected Geographic Indication) Aceto Balsamico di Modena and to promote it in terms of authenticity, safety, and traceability. There is little knowledge about the European Geographical Indication production in the US market, and therefore one of the campaign goals is to make consumers aware and inform them how to recognize protected products over counterfeit and deceptive ones.
The “Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original” campaign of the Consorzio Tutela Aceto Balsamico di Modena (Consortium for the Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena) also features a web portal (www.originalbalsamicvinegar.eu) and pages dedicated to the main social network:
Facebook @originalbalsamicvinegar
Instagram @originalbalsamicvinegar
Twitter @theoriginalbv
The Consortium invites everyone to join the Social Media campaign. Feel free to post, tweet, retweet or share our messages and your own messages using #balsamicvinegarofmodena , #theoriginalbvm, and #modena hashtags.
