Barmy Dale’s old-fashioned British style humour lands a blow with audiences who remember sitcoms from a bygone era like Last of the Summer Wine and Are you Being Served?
Series One originally aired on BBC Radio Derby’s Evening Show in July 2020. From August 10th to August 14th 2020 a special episode of Barmy Dale will be broadcast over five nights as part of the same evening show after 9 PM.
The Premise
Across the globe, the population of the world is in lockdown. In the fictional Derbyshire town of Barmy Dale, the situation is no different. But residents Keith and Gracie from number 46 and rivals Dan and Sharon from the pub across the road have a longstanding rivalry that is about to intensify in the pressure cooker of lockdown life.
The Cast
Barmy Dale stars celebrated actors Juliet Howland, (The Painted Veil) recently announced as Natti Cauthon in Amazon’s upcoming new series The Wheel of Time based on the books by Robert Jordan, Nigel Barber, (Spectre, MI5) and Camilla Simson, fresh from Blackeyed Theatre’s recent tour of Jane Eyre.
