The Radhasoami (Ra Dha Sva Aa Mi) Satsang community across Europe marked Basant Panchami on January 23, 2026, with vibrant celebrations in major cities, Stokenchurch, Birmingham, Bensheim, Amsterdam, Helsingborg, Oslo, Dublin, and Hartlepool.

The festival of Basant Panchami was observed with immense joy, profound solemnity, harmony, and enthusiasm at Radha Soami Satsang Bhawans, Satsang centre and Area satsang throughout the United Kingdom and Europe region, including Stokenchurch, Birmingham, Bensheim, Amsterdam, Helsingborg, Oslo, Dublin, and Hartlepool. The Satsang Bhawans were elegantly decorated and illuminated with vibrant LED lights powered by solar and renewable energy, creating an eco-friendly display avoiding candles and oil lamps. The lighting display was truly a sight to behold!

The festive proceedings featured an array of organized programs, most notably coordinated group dance and skit presented by the children, youth and devotees. Further activities included a baby show, a fancy dress competition, and the performance of traditional Qawwali and Shabad recitations, all of which contributed to a spiritually resonant atmosphere. Women prepared festive treats-both sweet and savoury. It was a true celebration of togetherness, filled with love, joy, and tradition! Basant celebrations also outdoor games & sports and women’s self-defense demonstrations. Participants of all ages joined in the festivities.

The auspicious day, was graced with the Darshan of the Most Revered Waqt/Present Sant Satguru, Prof. Prem Saran Satsangi Sahab, facilitated via video broadcast. This sacred experience infused the devotees with a profound spiritual energy and renewed inspiration.

The Basant season holds special significance for the Satsangis of the Ra Dha Sva Aa Mi Faith. On Basant Panchami February 15, 1861 – the first Revered Leader of the Faith, Param Purush Puran Dhani Huzur Soamiji Maharaj, revealed the Divine Message of salvation of all creation and graciously opened the doors of Satsang to the general public.

On the auspicious day of Basant Panchami, January 20, 1915, the fifth Revered Leader of the Ra Dha Sva Aa Mi Faith, Sir Sahabji Maharaj, laid the foundation of Dayalbagh by planting a mulberry tree. Subsequently, on January 1, 1916, education at Dayalbagh commenced with the establishment of Radhasoami Educational Institute (REI), later known as the Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI), which evolved into a full-fledged university.

The day is spent in worship, meditation, aarti and expressions of deep gratitude at the Holy Lotus Feet of the Beloved Waqt/Present Sant Satguru. This year, Most Revered Waqt/Present Sant Satguru, Prof. Prem Saran Satsangi Sahab, visited various colonies of Dayalbagh including Saran Ashram Hospital, Saran Ashram School, Dayalbagh Dairy, and the Holy Samadh at Soami Bagh, Agra, infusing the celebrations with spiritual joy and mercy.

As part of the festivities, various programmes were organized: Youth Activities: Children of the Evolutionary/Re-evolutionary Gender-free Superhumane scheme (3 weeks to 12 years) participated in cultural presentations, physical training, and self-defence demonstrations. Slogans: Spirited collective slogans such as “Bravo-Supremal-Octavo” and “Ra Dha Sva Aa Mi” filled the atmosphere.
