Washington, D.C, District of Columbia Jul 29, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - On Sunday, July 28, 2024, Black Women for Kamala, a grassroots online organizing community committed to supporting Vice President Kamala Harris and her bid for President of the United States, announced the launch of their "100 Days of Action" campaign. This initiative, commencing on July 28, 2024, aims to energize supporters and mobilize voters in the crucial final stretch leading up to the November 5, 2024 presidential election.
The "100 Days of Action" campaign features three key components:
1. Nationwide Organizing and Mobilization: A comprehensive 50-state strategy and calendar of daily activations designed to engage voters, including voter registration drives, community outreach events, and get-out-the-vote efforts.
2. 100 Days of Prayer: A spiritual initiative inviting supporters to join in daily prayer or reflection, fostering unity and hope within the community.
3. 100K a Day for Kamala: An ambitious fundraising goal to secure $100,000 in grassroots donations each day of the campaign, totaling $10 million to support the final push.
"In these next 100 days, we're not just counting down to an election; we're counting up the dreams, hopes, and aspirations of millions. Every prayer whispered, every dollar raised, and every action taken is a step towards a future where leadership reflects the true diversity and strength of our nation. This is our moment to turn the page of history, to show that a woman of color can not only compete for the highest office but can unite and lift up our entire country." said Waikinya J.S. Clanton, lead organizer of Black Women for Kamala, “Together, we're not just making history – we're shaping the future for generations to come.”
Black Women for Kamala has seen its online Facebook community membership soar from 100 to over 290,000 in just four days and will be coordinating registration and engagement efforts nationwide and concentrating our turnout strategy in key states.
