Gold Coast, Queensland Sep 2, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - BLUEPRINTS OF SHAKESPEARE’S BIRTHPLACE GOES UP FOR SALE

The only known blueprints in the world will be up for grabs. After holding onto her father’s blueprints for years, the daughter of the late Leo Fowler says it’s time to pass them on

Affinity Entertainment Productions announced today that the one and only known blueprints to exist in the world of Shakespeare’s birthplace will go up for sale beginning September 3. Sally-Ann Fowler, daughter of the late Leo Fowler, a well-known engineer in Birmingham, UK, says the blueprints are quite detailed, and a national treasure.

Fowler’s desire to bring forth these blueprints is in hopes of sharing its uniqueness. In order to maintain the quality of these blueprints, she has secured the blueprints in the archives of the Shakespeare Trust located in Stratford, UK. When asked about the reason she would part with such history, Sally states, "It’s time to bring the blueprints out of hiding and share its historical significance with the world. Every foot, inch, and beam, right down to the wooden pegs, appears on the blueprints. My father personally surveyed the homes and buildings as he did not want to lose any of its integrity. What he desired most was to replicate the original structure to its most authentic glory."

Leo Fowler did just that. Replicas within the Shakespearean Village were opened to the public by the late Sir Charles Court in 1977, Premiere of Western Australia and the village was awarded ‘The Sir David Brand Award for Tourism.’

Rarely, does the opportunity to possess such blueprints of historical significance to present itself. “Whether an individual or company would like to reproduce the Shakespearean Village, or a museum wants to display them for the world to see, such as the birthplace home of William Shakespeare, Anne Hathaway’s cottage, or even a pub, what is most important is to pass along a piece of history to the next generation,” adds Ms. Fowler.

Since there was no original 16th-century blueprints of the Shakespearean Village at the time Leo Fowler surveyed it, his recording of them is the only documented blueprints available.

Sally-Ann Fowler is a writer and photographer now living in Australia. She has written on her father’s legacy and his contributions to the UK, Australia, and throughout the world.
