That same year, he attained board certification in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
“During my research fellowship at the University of Miami, I successfully published over 50 papers and wrote multiple book chapters in the field of dermatology in high impact journals such as Journal of Investigative Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, and Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology. This has continued through my residency training as I pursue areas of interest including utilizing technology to bridge the gap in access to medical care, continued research interest, and involvement in clinical trials” as stated by Dr. Simmons.
