Castro Valley, California Nov 22, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - Eight women entrepreneurs share their journey to success in Women Can!, the first book to be launched by Business Women’s Community (BWC), on November 27. Entrepreneurship presents unusual challenges, especially for women, who have the burden of other responsibilities and obligations. This book chronicles the path these women took to overcome their hurdles and emerge victorious despite their struggles. As chapter leaders for BWC, they are now able to tell their stories. The majority of the proceeds from sales of the book will go to select, local nonprofits.

Since its launch in November 2016, Business Women’s Community has brought together women, throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and in nearby cities, with the express purpose of encouraging them to learn from each other as they grow their businesses. Their networking meetings are educational, focusing on disseminating information around goal setting, networking, leadership, finances (particularly cash flow), among others. During each monthly meeting, a keynote speaker presents credible and actionable nuggets that entrepreneurs can use to solve any business problems they might be experiencing.

“This book on entrepreneurship is very timely now that more people have lost their jobs due to lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic. A lot of these people have considered becoming entrepreneurs and are looking to find guidance from people who have been there, done that, and become successful,” according to Monette, BWC’s Founder. “BWC also supports local nonprofits, who focus on domestic violence, homelessness, addiction, stress management, disabilities, etc. BWC does this through volunteering, fundraising, and promoting each of the chosen nonprofits events. We want to show our community that we value the efforts of these organizations, which help make our communities a safe and vibrant place to live,” she added.

Business Women’s Community hopes to continue empowering entrepreneurial women by supporting nonprofits and creating an environment where businesses and their communities can thrive. Women Can! aims to inspire women to pursue their entrepreneurial journeys with the confidence that they can receive support from other women who have conquered their fears and realized their life purpose.
