Guo Zheng, Chinese Mechanical Engineer Dies at Age of 89

Luoyang, Henan Dec 4, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - Guo Zheng (Chinese: 郭政; 1934 – December, 2022) was a Chinese Mechanical Engineer who served in the Chinese Communist Party as a subject matter expert in industrial machinery in the early days after the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Born in 1934 in Dashiying Village, Dushan county, Nanyang City. During China's first five-year plan, he was recruited as a cadre to lead technical innovations on "Dong Fang Hong", the first tractor in China. 

During the revolutionary period, he organized and participated in technological innovation, solved a series of theoretical and practical problems, and made significant positive contributions to China's first Tractor Factory, which was rebranded as YTO Group, and the establishment of the Nation's First Five-Year Plan. In 2022, Guo Zheng died of illness in Luoyang, Henan province at the age of 89.
