Orlando, Florida May 3, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - ClearOne Sports Center, Orlando’s premier indoor facility for pickleball and badminton, is now offering beginning “Pickleball 101” classes on Wednesday evenings and twice on Saturday.
“Pickleball is America’s fastest growing sport and with 9 indoor courts we have become the number one destination in Orlando for competitive-level indoor pickleball,” said ClearOne owner, John Gardner. “Due to a surge in popularity, we felt it was time to offer beginner lessons and expose more people to this exciting sport, that really anyone can play. The initial reaction has been huge – we are pleased that the lessons are selling out each week and we may add more sessions.”
Pickelball 101 is 1.5 hours of instruction during which time students will learn the basics of the game with ClearOne’s capable and experienced instructors. Classes are limited to 4 or fewer participants to maximize the opportunity to learn about Pickleball and participate in skill instruction. Under the instructor’s guidance participants will be introduced to the soft game of Pickleball known as “drinking,” shown how to volley, provided the opportunity to hit groundstrokes, and instructed on how to serve.
“While some consider Pickleball rules complicated,” said John, “you will learn the basics of scoring as you progress through the class. By the end of the class, we will have you keeping score and playing a complete game of Pickleball!”
Class details:
Wednesday 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.Saturdays 10:30 a.m. – noon AND 12:30 – 2 p.m.

NOTE: Clear one will provide paddles and balls (or bring your own paddle). Wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes, preferably “court” style tennis shoes.
