Jacksonville, Florida Apr 19, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - The Jacksonville Athletic Academy hires Clay County native, Robert Rahn as the Athletic Director and Head football coach for the junior college athletics program.
Coach Rahn has been coaching High School football for the last 11 years at Effingham County High School (GA), Baker County High School (FL), Purvis High School (MS), & most recently John Paul II Catholic School (FL). He is also the owner and head trainer of Next Step Athletic Training focusing on football and baseball athletes. Coach Rahn’s passion is solely focused on preparing young men and women for their future in sports and beyond it.
“Coach Rahn brings experience and tenacity to this program and we are happy to have him as our Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. He has the confidence of our players, and is well-respected and held in high regard by our supporters,” said JAA front office staff.
The Jacksonville Athletic Academy (JAA) is a 2-year junior college athletics program that is based in Jacksonville, Florida. JAA is a college sports program under the National Independent Athletic Association (NIAA). The NIAA is a national independent organization for an intercollegiate, small college, and trade school athletic programs.
“I tell every student-athlete I come across; you must have a plan for life if sports stop today. I want these young men and women to feel mentored and guided into the real world. On the field, we will build a group of excellent, championship-level athletes, but more importantly, I will continue to hold academic excellence as our highest moral code at JAA,” said Coach Rahn.
The Jacksonville Athletic Academy’s football program will have its first day of practice on July 19th, 2021, and will have its first away game against the Florence Predators on August 28th, 2021.
JAA will also include Men’s Basketball (2021), Women’s Basketball (2023), Baseball (2022), Men’s Soccer (2022), & Women’s Soccer (2022).
