It is a weeklong sports fest where students from almost 50 + junior to Post Graduate colleges participate in various indoor and outdoor sports events and go head – to head for supremacy.
The USP of this Sports event is “Run for a Cause”, an Open Marathon from D Y Patil School of Management, Belapur, to Kharghar Hills and back, where we are expecting more than 500 runners. As a part of the schools’ initiative of highlighting a cause during every event, this year the students took up the cause on “Women Empowerment” and “Road Safety” Dr R Gopal, Director and HOD, DYPUSM is highly impressed with the kind of innovative events that are planned by the committee members. Dr R Gopal gives lot of impetus to the sports events and encourages students for their all-round development. He always advises students to excel in academics on par with games and sports.
Karan Patil, MBA Sports Secretary, DYPUSM says, “We are very excited and Proud to have this event as, such events not just builds a better bond with fellow colleagues but with other colleges as well”. According to Mr Sujay Shenoy, an active Sportsman and a member of sports committee, DYPUSM, “along with academics, such events give us great experience and wider aspects as how to organise such big events and apply management concepts. It gives me immense pleasure to see all the students participating in large numbers”.
