Los Angeles, California Jan 7, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Fresh franchising of a new diverse group of heroes has been released on Amazon Prime Video with a Season of 9 episodes titled "Cyborgs Universe".
The story is set in a post-apocalypse sci-fi scenario, with some fantasy elements of drama and light comedy.
Creator and Director Leonardo Corbucci tell the story of a future that includes technologies not yet present in our reality, however, exists in the minds and laboratories currently in development. Technology that we are questioning right now.
In the fictional Cyborgs Universe, Dharsa Corp is one of the largest companies in the World. They built their fortune by mass-producing "human-clone-robots" with advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Robots are identical to humans but stronger and faster. One day, without any known reason, 700 million Robots began to rebel, declaring war on the human race.
The world quickly collapses and becomes a wasteland. The Robots continued to hunt the remaining humans with vigilance. The human race was close to extinction until there was the promise of new hope.
From the same company that created the Robots, a scientist is known as “Doctor C” created and built a team of 10 fighters with a balance between a robot and a human; “Cyborgs” were born.
Cyborgs are as fast and as strong as robots, but they have intuition, emotion, and feelings just like humans. The Cyborgs store an incredible source of energy and each has a unique powerful skill. The story picks up more than 100 years after the apocalypse with only a few organized groups remaining; Robots, Cyborgs, Vault Humans, Savage Humans and a fierce rebel group known as “M” Society. Each fighting for survival in their own way.
The diverse cast includes 20 different nationalities, both new and veteran actors including, Christian Peppard, formerly Hannibal Smith of the successful show The A-Team, playing Captain Harlock, one of the most mysterious characters of the saga. Christian is the son of the legendary actress Elizabeth Ashley and George Peppard.
