  • Daniel Perez, MD, FACP, an Infectious Disease Specialist in private practice

New York City, New York Sep 3, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  - Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Perez is a board-certified infectious disease specialist who can provide consultations for referred patients who have infectious problems caused by bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Some of the conditions that he treats include cellulitis, pneumonia, and urinary tract infections, among others. At present, he sees patients at his private practice in Plantation, Florida.

“In order to practice good medicine, a partnership between doctor and patient is essential. This partnership is based on mutual trust and respect that is earned, not given. As an MDVIP-affiliated internal medicine physician, I will have more time to develop close relationships with my patients, carefully review records, and perform a comprehensive wellness program. We will work together as a team and formulate a wellness plan that will help you achieve your health goals. When it comes to the well-being of my patients, there are no shortcuts to being healthy, no simple formulas or “one-size-fits-all” approaches. My internal medicine practice, compared to a concierge medical practice, provides the level of care that can help make a happy, healthy future your reality” as stated by the doctor.

Professionally, he is an attending physician & Vice Chief of Staff at Westside Regional Medical Center, where he is a member of the Medical Executive Committee, the Infection Control Committee & the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.

To advance his professional efforts, he remains a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, the American Society of Microbiology, the American Academy of HIV Medicine, and the American College of Physicians (Fellow). He has a variety of medical interests which include travel medicine, oncology and its complications from chemotherapy, as well as immune-deficiency states caused by infections or other medical conditions.

A 1989 graduate of the Institute of Health Sciences, CES, Faculty of Medicine in Colombia, Dr. Perez went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at Danbury Hospital, Yale University School of Medicine in 1993 and 1997, respectively. He then completed his clinical post-doctoral fellowship in infectious diseases at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1999.
