His primary focus is patient care with an emphasis on making the patient feel at home in the office. He is the Owner of Kitsap Foot and Ankle Clinic with locations in Bremerton and Port Orchard, Washington.
Kitsap Foot and Ankle Clinic is dedicated to getting to the root of each patient’s foot or ankle problem. With two podiatrists and one naturopathic doctor, the team specializes in the treatment of heel pain, ingrown toenails, as well as all foot and ankle conditions.
After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology/Pre Med and a minor in Chemistry at BYU in Provo, Utah, Dr. Gent went to attend the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida. There, he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.
In June of 2002, he completed his residency in podiatric surgery and medical treatment at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, New York. In August of 2002, he moved his family to Bremerton. He began working with Dr. Michael Worpell at Kitsap Foot & Ankle Clinic and in October of that same year, he purchased the practice when Dr. Worpell moved to Indiana.
Through various continuing education, the doctor has kept up to date on the latest technology and treatment approaches in the field of podiatry. He has extensive training in forefoot and rearfoot surgery along with a certification in ESWT, ultrasound, skin biopsy, sports injuries, and custom orthotic treatment for correcting foot deformities and discomfort.
Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Washington State Podiatric Medical Association. What’s more, he is board-certified through the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
