Mumbai, Maharashtra Dec 24, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - COVID-19 prevented many aspiring actors from joining academic courses to pursue a career in films or theatre. Acting courses are usually delivered in traditional classroom environments and the repeated lockdowns across the nation prevented students from joining them.
The pandemic is showing signs of retreat but students are still wary of joining traditional classroom-enabled courses. Drama School Mumbai realized that there was huge potential for acting courses delivered online. Ekalavya was conceived with the mission of offering high-quality online acting and theatre training to aspiring actors, theatre-makers, and creators.
Students can choose from one or all of four Ekalavya courses, including 'Mastering Monologues', 'Breaking Open Characters', 'Expressive Voice & Speech', and 'Expressive Body'.
The Ekalavya courses offer flexibility, ensure individual attention, and bring quality acting classes directly to the learner's home.
The courses vary in length and each course will need a commitment of 8 to 10 hours for 25 to 42 classes. The courses are economically-priced and can be easily picked up by beginners. Each course is divided into engaging modules that nurture the learner’s creativity and imagination, helping them discover their voice and master their vulnerability.
For example, the ‘Breaking Open Characters’ course has modules such as 'Investigating Characters', 'Art of Imagination', and 'Transforming Into A Character', among others.
Students are taught to tell stories through movements, channeling their inner senses to deliver performances that impress viewers.
Ekalavya has world-class faculty comprising Puja Sarup (Actor & Theatre Director), Niketan Sharma (Actor, Writer & Theatre Director), Hetal Varia (Voice, Accent & Dialect Coach), and Lakshika Pandey (Actor, Dancer & Theatre Maker).
The faculty is passionate and charismatic, helping ignite a deep passion for theatre arts within students. They deliver online classes in a dynamic and interactive style that is characterised by frequent activities and progress.
Students who excel in Ekalavya courses will be given an opportunity to further enhance their skills at the Drama School Mumbai. Those interested in joining Ekalavya's classes can click here.
