Mumbai, Maharashtra Aug 29, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - The flood in Kolhapur and Sangli districts has affected the lives of many families. The lives of the people in these areas are still disturbed and there is a shortage of daily needs. Considering this and as part of an ongoing social commitment, help was provided to the victims by the staff and students of Dr. D Y Patil School of Engineering, Charholi (Lohegaon), the residents of Umang Homes and Primo Apartments (I.V. Estate), Wagholi, Prithviraj Residency, and Mayureshwar Vihar Housing Society, located in Katraj.
The materials required for daily needs along with wheat, rice, spice pockets, clothes, etc were distributed to the flood affected families at Kurundwad (Tal.Shirol, Dist. Kolhapur). The task of distribution was co-ordinated by Dr. Sanjay Koli (Head of Department, E&TC. Eng) under the guidance of Principal Dr. M. Z Shaikh. Prof. Riaz Kazi, Dr. Pramod Jadhav, Kekan, Santosh Koditkar, Advocate Todkar, Pallavi Kondare, Archana Salunke, Pratibha Kirdka volunteered for this social cause.
