Although Eddie Kendricks made his name as one of the lead singers of the legendary Temptations (inducted as a group in 2013), he went on to become the most successful solo artist to break from the group. Leaving the Temptations in Nov. of 1970, Kendricks went on to have three #1 R&B singles (Boogie Down, Keep on Truckin’, and Shoeshine Boy).
