Education Street Alarms Shift in the International Education Map from the USA to Other Countries

Students are now reading between the lines and opting to study in countries like Australia, New Zealand, and Germany.

Mumbai, Maharashtra Aug 20, 2025 (Issuewire.com)  - Changes in US policies have affected international students. The policies to attract Indian students in the USA are shaken, and hence, Education Street sees students changing their direction. At the same time, policies and support of other countries are lucrative for education and exposure for Indian students.

Education Street has been in this industry for the last 15 years, and we have seen such wind directions for the first time. This makes this challenge all the more special.

Australia has made its genuine student requirements and visa procedures strict, which is good, as only strong profile students can go through this filtration process and hence will eventually have better opportunities. Australia has probably taken clues from the situation in Canada, where they oversupplied students in the job market, which eventually collapsed it.

New Zealand is growing in its infrastructure and technology, and hence, this country would attract students and give them the necessary learning experiences. Germany is also seen in a good light for students to explore STEM courses instead of the US, and that too at a lower cost and with less visa hassle. Clearly, these changes will also go to other countries that would benefit from this change of season. The UK, Dubai, Netherlands, France, and Sweden are also picking up well. So yes, this year will define a new education map for Indian students.

Mrs. Ankita Thakker, founder at Education Street, says:

Ankita Thakker says, students who aspire to study have many options, and hence they would not be at a loss, but the world that restrains them would be at a loss. Indian students come with skills, calibre, and dedication. They go abroad not just to settle there but to prove their mettle and gain international exposure. They don’t have a motive to take someone else’s job – they get a job as they are capable, and employers see the value in them. The developed countries have to realise that they are not doing any charity by giving them opportunities.

The need is from both sides. All big companies have seen the dedication and commitment Indian students bring, and hence, today, several companies have them in top-level positions. They have not reached there by luck or snatching anyone their deserved position. It is the market of the fittest; be proud that Indians work hard to grow. Indians will still strive to go and gain experiences – if not US, there are several countries ready to see them as potential opportunities.”
