La Habana, Cuba Dec 19, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - El Yoking, real name Alex Ramires Reinoso, is a Cuban songwriter and rapper. He was born on May 20th, 1999 in Boyeros, La Habana. Alex attended Sergio Gonzalez Elementary and later moved on to high school at Maximo Gomez. As a youngster, he sought other genres of music that were not common in his time, as those gave him headaches. His friends then encouraged him to listen to Cuban rappers Chocolate MC, Wildey, Popy y La Moda, and his idol Harryson, to a point that they became the only artists he listened to.
Later that same year, he decided to record a song that became viral in his neighborhood, and therefore naming himself "El Yoking". A peculiar name for a peculiar artist. El Yoking would rather make his own style of music than follow along with everyone else.
In late 2019, El Yoking made the decision to focus on his career and future as an urban artist. During the years of 2019 and 2020, he released two albums "Sonido Yokingyo", "Mi Talento" and one EP "Fuego Infinito".
In January 2020, he met his now manager and representative Deanne. Though it was an accidental encounter, their bond became fundamental in the artist's career. Together they've done great things, leading up to a record deal.
In November 2021, El Yoking signed a two-year contract with Black Market Records. He's anticipating the staggering opportunities that this large project has to offer.
