Ellipsis Art Exhibit: Charity Digital and Virtual Reality Art by Artists from Around the World

Bringing cutting edge technology to the world of art in Glendale, California

Los Angeles, California Jul 15, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  - “Ellipsis” Exhibit: Bringing cutting edge technology to the world of art

"Ellipsis" (Բազմակետ) is an Art Exhibit featuring digital art, fine art, and augmented reality art by twenty-six local and international artists. It will take place on July 17th – 18th, 2021 at the Armenian Cultural Foundation located on 211 W. Chestnut St. in Glendale, California.

The charity exhibition, organized by Anahit Co and Artsakh Art, aims to showcase the talent of Armenian artists, shed light on the technological advancements created in Armenia, and raise funds for the Homeland Defender’s Rehabilitation Center in Armenia. ARLOOPA, an augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) application company has partnered with the organizers of “Ellipsis” to add an Augmented Reality experience to the exhibit. The audience will be able to bring their smartphones/tablets and use them like 3D glasses to see static flat images come to life through sound, video, or illustration, creating an unforgettable immersive experience.

“Ellipsis” has also created a virtual bridge between Armenia, Artsakh, and the diaspora through the location-based virtual reality showrooms in 10 cities around the world (Yerevan, Artsakh, Gyumri, Burastan in Armenia, St. Petersburg Russia, Brussels and London in Europe, Los Angeles USA, Montreal Canada, Santiago Chile). These showrooms will feature 20 select works of art, a documentary video about the artists, and information about the organizers.

“Ellipsis” also features a limited-edition collection of merchandise and prints with the artworks featured in the “Ellipsis” art exhibit, available through the Anahit Co website and during the exhibition. Half of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork/merchandise will benefit the participating artists, and the second half will be donated to the Homeland Defender's Rehabilitation Center, which provides rehabilitative services to the wounded soldiers of the 2020 Artsakh War.
