It is during this time, he enrolled in MBA and MCA and completed them both with flying colors. He had an irresistible offer from HSBC, Bengaluru in 2004 and left his home city Chennai to join them. He was there until 2011 where he held the positions of Mentor, Subject Matter Expert. He received a few hundreds of certificates there as well.
Sarath Babu came back to Chennai in 2011. Initially, his aim was to crack Civil Services but since that did not work, he diverted his attention towards blogging. His initial blog post got him the coveted 2nd Prize from the U.S. Consulate General Ms. Jennifer McIntyre and this made him take this up as a profession. His flair for writing made him write articles which were well appreciated and received. His initial blog was read in more than 100 countries. He started winning many contests for his passion. Till date (from 2011), he has never purchased a Smartphone but had won all that he has been using till date including an iPhone 8Plus.
He was featured as a blogger/influencer in the articles that were released by The Times of India and The Hindu in 2015 and 2016. He is a regular contributor to India’s only F1 magazine Chequered Flag ever since its inception. His articles were featured in other magazines as well which includes Eves Times, Dhina Thanthi, etc., He has had a short stint with The New Indian Express as Trainee Staff Correspondent and with ING Vysya Insurance as Sales Manager. He started his new blog (in his own name) in 2017 and has had more than 600,000 readers.
He is on Local Guides where he is a Level 8 reviewer. His Pics has garnered more than 2 million times. He is an Amazon India Top 500 Reviewer. He is one of the Most Viewed Writer (MVW) in Chennai on Quora. He is a Level 6 Reviewer on Trip Advisor. He is a Level 12 Reviewer on Zomato. He is a Golden Tick Verified User on HELO app. He is a Twitter Jockey for Star Vijay Television. His name has found a mention in various books and some of the leading authors in India know him by his name.
Sarath Babu is a Lions Club Member and has served his club (Centennial Heroes) as Secretary before being elevated as President. He is a District Chairperson for the Lionistic Year 2019-20 for District 324-A1. He is a Melvin Jones Fellow (MJF).
