Pune, Maharashtra Nov 10, 2018 (Issuewire.com) - India is on an ambitious mission to provide employment linked training to close 40 crore youths of the country. This will require 2 lakh skilled trainers across, rural, semi-urban and urban areas. These trainers will have to be trained on various Qualification Packs & National Occupational Standards as per the guidelines of the National Skill Qualification Framework and certified by the various Sector Skill Councils and the National Skill Development Corporation.
In order to turn this ambition into reality, EduBridge a skill development and vocational training organization was launched by IIM alumni & professors in 2009 and was set up with a vision “To be the first choice provider of high quality skill and career development in every corner of India” by bridging the skill gap that presently exists between the semi-urban/economically backward youth and the skill requirements of high performing companies/government organizations. EduBridge is on a mission to “Empower youth to impact India’s future by walking with them towards a better life”. On this mission, EduBridge is supported by 300+ Corporate Partners, 80 College/University Partners, and has had 70,000 student enrolments with 70% placements. In order to improve the EduBridge also plans to launch a chain of 4 “Trainer Schools” known as “GuruSchool” across the 4 zones of the country with the support of HSBC and Capgemini as a part of their CSR initiative.
GuruSchool was formally launched in Pune in October 2018. The event was graced by various dignitaries from the skilling world and industry stalwarts like Mr. Surendra Rosha (Country Head – HSBC), Mr. Manish Mehta (V.P. & Global Delivery Head – Capgemini), Mr. Makarand Satarkar (Vice President - Global Applications Shared Services at Capgemini), Mr. Kumar Anurag Pratap (Senior Director & Head of CSR – Capgemini), Ms. Anita Rajan (COO – Tata Strive Tata Community Initiative Trust), & Mr. Girish Singhania (Founder & CEO, EduBridge Learning Pvt Ltd.).
GuruSchool has so far shaped 100 trainers and are now gainfully employed in the Skill Development Sector.
GuruSchool aims at improving the base of skilled trainers in the Skilling Ecosystem, by providing training to the aspiring trainers on how to deliver quality training in the Skill Development Sector, by providing them intensive training program which trains them on the Domain Skills as per the guidelines of the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) on various domains like BFSI, I.T., Retail, Telecom & Management, along with this they are also trained in Platform Skills where they are taught how to effectively deliver the required training in a structured and well-balanced manner. Post successful completion of the course they are certified as Trainers by the National Skill Development Corporation under the various Sector Skills Council certifications. They are then provided with employment opportunities with various skilling and training organizations to impact the lives of unemployed youth across the country under the Skill India Mission. This program can also benefit freelance trainers from the corporate world, education and career advisors, Teachers from schools and colleges.
This program at GuruSchool, is best suited for graduates from any stream, who have work experience of 2 years and are passionate about training and want to carve a name for themselves in the skill development sector. GuruSchool offers a 2 months intensive residential program for aspiring trainers where they undergo close to 500 hours of learner-centric world-class training program delivered by certified Master Facilitators. The program is designed by instructional design experts based on Adult Learning Principles using experiential learning and is majorly an inquiry-based learning program. This program also provides participants with, industry connection opportunities, a panel of certified coaches for coaching and mentoring, opportunities to build their technology and digital skills and online communities for synchronous and asynchronous support.
