Miami Gardens, Florida Jan 22, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - Parents impacted by the Government shutdown may not have the ability to pay for childcare.  It's hard to go to work or seek other aid when you have young children.  Hanan's Academic Development Center is offering a free drop-in service for children ages 2-4 up to their room capacity.

"These are tough times for many government employees and having to navigate through unchartered waters without a paycheck is difficult.  There's a lot of stress and anxiety in the homes and children experience the tension by default.  We want to help ease the burden for families." says Karimah Ali, Operations Manager.

It's important not to disrupt the education process for the children or take them away from their normal routine. We are also extending free aftercare to students from age 5-12 in hopes of giving the government employees time to take care of personal matters. We'd like all childcare providers across the country to make accommodations if possible, even if it's for one child. This means a great deal to families.
