Pittsburg, California May 29, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - Author Leona Nichols releases her new book, Other Loves All Flee: One Family's Journey from Legalism to Grace, to readers nationwide.

In the book, the author shares her early years growing up in a Mennonite family and community, an ultraconservative religion and culture that emphasize unity in all things, including clothing and grooming styles. As she got married and had six children, their beliefs were questioned as their children started to grow older and made decisions and developed viewpoints of their own.

They wanted to have biblical reasons behind their beliefs and decisions, so they searched the scriptures for answers. This was hard for the author because being a part of such a community requires her family to conform without question.

When Leona and her husband met Jesus through the inquisitive nature of their children, they knew they would need to make a choice. Would they choose Jesus, the Savior of their souls? Or would they stay in the church of their fathers?

Leona’s work will be exhibited at the BookExpo + BookCon 2019, to be held at the Jacob Javits Center, New York City, this coming May 29 to 31 and June 1 and 2, 2019, at the Authors Press Booth # 1667.
