Raleigh, North Carolina Mar 10, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - A volunteer firefighter in Wayne County, North Carolina who died this month in the line of duty will be honored with a special fundraiser run by the American lifestyle brand Shield Republic.
The company’s charitable arm today launched a new “Hold the Line” fundraiser for Joe Tucker, who served with the Thoroughfare Volunteer Fire Department in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Safety Officer Tucker was responding to a call when he experienced a medical emergency in his vehicle. He died at the hospital.
Safety Officer Tucker, age 62 at the time of his death, is survived by his children and grandchildren. He had volunteered with the fire department since 2004.
Through the Hold the Line fundraiser for Safety Officer Tucker, Shield Republic will make available honorary apparel including t-shirts, hoodies, long-sleeved shirts, ladies’ tank tops, and decals. Net proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to his family.
