Miami, Florida Oct 27, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Pianist, producer, songwriter Marlow Rosado is a musical force. During the pandemic, he stayed creative and made music. Out of one of the darkest times in global history, Rosado recorded the 9-track album, "Orun," under the J&N Music Group label. This is his first Latin Jazz album to be considered for the 64th Grammy Awards.
"Miami is deeply rooted in the Afro-Cuban religious culture. "Orun," the title of my album symbolizes one of the strongest spiritual entities," said Rosado. "The drums and beats of this album are also derived from the nature of the Yoruba belief." The making of this album, recorded in Miami, was exciting for Rosado because two music giants were part of it.
At 80 years old, the legendary multi-Grammy Winning Cuban pianist, composer, and arranger Chucho Valdés is the hardest working man in the Latin Jazz world. "When Chucho asked me if I was working on a new album, I was surprised," said Rosado who is Puerto Rican. "He said 'Do you have a song for me?' and I was honored."
Rosado and Valdés went into the studio the next day and recorded "Marlow y Chucho." This is the first time the two have collaborated. Joining Rosado and Valdés on "Orun" is Latin Grammy Winner and one of the country's leading saxophonists Dr. Ed Calle. He can be heard on more than 1,200 albums, about 9,000 singles, and countless movie and television soundtracks both as a soloist, sideman, composer, arranger, conductor, and producer. Calle runs a music program at one of Miami's top universities.

Rosado is known for collaborating with great music industry people. "This joint venture with Dutch Music Producer Raffles Van Exel is another strong partnership," said Rosado. Van Exel has worked with music legends such as Prince, Michael Jackson, and Whitney Houston.
Rosado owns Pinkchaos Recording Studio and Doral Music in the greater Miami area where some of the most notable Latin artists have recorded some of their biggest records. "Elvis Crespo, Tito Puente, Jr., and El Gran Combo, a huge orchestra in the Salsa world, is an example of some of the artists who have recorded in my studio," said Rosado. As a producer-songwriter, he has also worked with Ricky Martin, Idina Menzel, and Cisco, to name a few.
